How to get involved

The best way to get directly involved in the society is to register for your KCL Pro Bono membership with KCLSU. Please note that membership is a prerequisite for participation in project activities!

To become a member of the Pro Bono society:

1. Visit our KCLSU page <<

2. Make sure you are logged in before clicking standard membership (£10)

The Pro Bono Society is comprised of 8 different projects, overseen by the Main Committee. The projects are: Amicus Project, Human Rights Project, Junior Lawyers Against Poverty, Law Mentoring, Legal Clinic, Legal Outreach, Mediation Project and Opportunity International. More information can be found on the individual project pages of this website.
Projects vary in levels of commitment - in this way there is something for everyone as voluntary participation can be on a flexible basis.

You can apply for a place on one of the individual projects you are interested in or you may apply for more than one project.
The recruitment process varies and can range from simply signing up to writing a written application. Some projects also require attendance to scheduled training sessions.
More details on how to apply for a project will be posted shortly.
