Bar Pro Bono Unit – Fundraising Volunteer

The Bar Pro Bono Unit and LawWorks are seeking an enthusiastic and committed volunteer to help deliver the annual Law School Challenge at our office in The National Pro Bono Centre on Chancery Lane, London. Pro Bono Opportunity with Personal Support Unit (PSU) 

PSU volunteers at the West London Family Court are trained to give assistance to people who, for various reasons, don’t have lawyers but need practical and emotional support. You will need to be someone who can support a wide variety of people, has initiative, a common sense approach to help assist them solve their problem and the ability to comfort people going through a difficult time. Volunteering at Southward Law Centre

Volunteers at the Law Centre will mainly carry out administrative rather than casework or legal tasks. For many volunteers, this experience has proved invaluable not only in obtaining new skills and insights but also in their search for paid employment. Reach Out UK

ReachOut partners with schools in disadvantaged communities to support young people aged 9 to 16. Young people meet weekly with their ReachOut mentor at after-school projects that take place in a classroom in their partner schools during term time. Click here for more information.

The CAB offers sundry volunteering opportunities, from administrative assistance to fundraising to legal advisory roles. Advocates for International Development (A4ID) is the charity that empowers lawyers to use their skills to fight world poverty.
